NEW SCAM ALERT
The medical profession.
What has happened? How have the "best and brightest" been coerced into acquiescing to miserable service to their fellow man? What leverage has been applied to the sensibility that made them want to be caretakers to begin with, that has pried the axons of caring out of their brains and replaced them with numb pharmaceuticals?
Incomplete testing, prescription of drugs as an only-resort, disregard for the whole person or even whole body...
these issues and more, will continue to degrade our trust of the medical profession and those who practice it, till they become the new "sales person."
I have no pity for the doctors who succumb to this mode of behavior. They bring it on themselves, and force themselves to adhere to it. Any self-respecting doctor who would want to adhere to the Hippocratic oath they took could easily do so. But they'd have to live a little more humbly...which is the price no one in our society is willing to pay.
